What's new? America250PA-Elk County! Watch for new information at this link!

The United States Semiquincentennial, will be the 250th anniversary of the 1776 United States Declaration of Independence. Festivities will be scheduled to mark various events leading up to the anniversary on July 4, 2026.  In 2018 the Pennsylvania Legislature and Governor Shapiro established America250PA to plan, encourage, develop and coordinate the commemoration of this historic event and to recognize Pennsylvania’s unique role in the creation of the United States.  The County of Elk and all 12 municipalities have proudly signed a resolution that will commit to America250PA’s mission to educate, preserve, innovate and celebrate this incredible milestone.
